Unfortunately vehicle theft is becoming all too common in Toronto and the GTA.
The way many vehicles are stolen, is by thieves essentially creating a new ‘electronic’ or ‘virtual’ key fob for your car by using the VIN number or other scanning tools. They can then simply start the engine and drive off as if they have the real key.
There are several ways you can make your vehicle more secure and protect against theft.
The most effective way is with vehicle kill switches. This will prevent anyone from starting the vehicle even if they have a key, unless you turn off a hidden switch, or disarm your kill switch with a remote fob first. So even if a thief generates a new ‘virtual’ key fob and tries to start your car, they won’t be able to.
A kill switch remote can be combined with traditional car alarms for additional security, and even a remote car starter for additional comfort.
Most installations take anywhere from 1-3 hours.
We have installed many of these devices on all kinds of makes and models.
Protect your car and save yourself the hassle of a stolen vehicle!
A physical switch hidden someone in your vehicle is a simple, cost-effective solution to make your vehicle more secure.
Simply turn the switch on or off as you need it. Once on, the ignition will be disabled so you cannot start your engine.
This type of kill switch is secure, convenient, and cost-effective. Enable or disable your vehicle's ignition with the simple click of a remote. This system can be set to automatically arm itself every time you turn the vehicle off, or you can control it manually by clicking it on or off as you need it. Different remote options are available.
The Ghost protects your car from key-cloning, hacking, and even key theft. The Ghost has no key-fobs or LED indications to give away its location. The Ghost uses the buttons in your vehicle such as those on the steering wheel, door panels or centre console, to allow you to make a unique, changeable, disarm sequence (like a PIN code) that must first be entered before you can drive your car. Just like your credit card, but you can make your car disarm sequence even safer by making it up to 20 presses long!
